A strong left sided presence who can play at full back or on the wing

Josué Caicedo was born on 24 September, 2007, in the province of Guayas, Ecuador. He stands out for his physical presence, ability to cover ground, and endurance in maintaining a high work rate throughout the game. Although he usually plays as a left-back, he is also comfortable operating as a winger.

Thanks to these qualities, he made the step up to the first team of LDU Quito during the 2025/26 season, featuring in eight official matches: seven in the Ecuadorian league and one in the Copa Libertadores. In total, he accumulated 524 minutes of playing time and provided one assist.

In the summer of the 2026/27 season, Barça Atlètic signed him on loan, aware of his potential to develop into a top-class full-back.
