Barça B 2-1 Villarreal B: A win to keep play off hopes alive

The blaugranes pick their fourth win in a row to move closer to the play off places in the Primera RFEF

The wins keep coming. Barça B continued their winning streak at home to Villarreal B at the Estadi Johan Cruyff thanks to a 2-1 win with goals from Jutglà and Aranda.

The game saw a first half that ended without goals. Villarreal sought to defend and then try to hit Sergi Barjuan's side on the counter but when they succeeded then they came up against a Carevic in the Barça B goal in fine form. For Barça the best chances of the first half fell to Aranda and Abde.

The second half could not have started better for Barça B as Ferran Jutglà opened the scoring with his 13th goal of the season in the league. Carevic again showed his worth to keep Villarreal at bay but the Montenegro international could do nothing to stop Jackson levelling things up for the visitors just after the hour mark.

Nevertheless, Barça did not let their heads drop and on 73 minutes Aranda put the blaugranes back in front after good work from second half substitute Peque.

Barça B were able to protect their lead in the final minutes and record win number four which brings them closer to a play off place in the Primera RFEF.
