Sabadell 1-3 Barça B: First win of the season

Two goals from Ángel Rodado and one from Matheus Pereira give Sergi Barjuan's team the first points of the campaign

Barça B recorded their first league win of the 2021/22 campaign after a run of two draws and a defeat in their opening three matches. The win came against Sabadell in the Nova Creu Alta thanks to a brace from Ángel Rodado and a goal from Matheus Pereira.

Sergi Barjuan's team started the game strongly with Nils Mortimer going close early on for the blaugranes when Sabadell keeper Royo made a great stop to deny the midfielder. Jutglà also had a chance for the blaugranes before the home side started to come back into the contest.

Barça keeper Arnau Tenas was called into action on a number of occasions before the break and his fine saves meant it was goalless between the two teams at half time.

Frenetic second half

More chances came and keeper Royo made another great save to deny Mortimer once again. Finally, Barça took the lead in the 67th minute - Rodado taking advantage of a rebound after Royo had saved Abde's effort.

However, Sabadell were level with just nine minutes remaining. Morgado headed home a free kick to make it 1-1 and momentarily thwart Barça's hopes of a first win. The blaugranes reacted in style and just three minutes later Rodado got in behind the Sabadell defence to beat Royo for his second and put Barça back in front. Matheus Pereira sealed the win with a neat finish from Jutglà's cross to hand Barça B a much needed win in the Primera RFEF.
