Òscar Mingueza rejoins Barça B for promotion playoff against UCAM Murcia
Òscar Mingueza is to return to Barça B for the promotion play-off against UCAM Murcia.
The defender is reporting to Garcia Pimienta for duty after playing in 38 games for the senior team this season, scoring two goals. Meanwhile, his only game for the reserves was the league fixture against Tarragona.
This Sunday 16 May, Barça B will be at the Estadio Municipal Vicente Sanz de Don Benito after a fabulous season, capped by winning five of the six games in the final round to finish second in their promotion group behind Ibiza.
With a place in the new-look third tier already secure, Barça B are now hoping to go one better and earn a place in the second tier Division 2A next year. To do that, they’ll have to beat Murcia this weekend, and then win a second game on May 22-23 against the winner of one of the other seven games being played this weekend.
All of the games are being played over a single leg at different grounds in Extremadura.
