Maccabi Haifa will be Barça U19’s opponent in the round of 32 of the UEFA Youth League, as determined in Friday’s draw held at UEFA's headquarters in Nyon. The tie will be played as a single match, on either February 3 or 4, with Barça playing away from home. Up to now, the Israeli side has been playing their home matches in Győr, Hungary.

The blaugranes went into the draw after finishing the league phase in eighth place, with a record of four wins, one draw and one defeat. They therefore knew they would be playing the next knockout round away from home, and that their opponents would come from the teams entering via the domestic champions route.

Haifa reached the round of 32 after winning two two-legged ties, against Austria Vienna and French side Nantes. Should Barça progress, they will learn their path in a new draw to be held on 6 February.
