A festive day at Spotify Camp Nou. Before kick-off in Barça Levante, supporters had the chance to celebrate the Year of the Horse, which began last 17 February. It was a special day in the new lunar year, all under the slogan “Forging the future.”
CAT in attendance
The celebrations were shared not only with Asian supporters, but also with the wider crowd. The pre-match atmosphere was once again led by the Penya Blaugrana Dracs Units, founded by the Chinese community in Catalonia, only this time they were joined by CAT, bringing smiles and lively entertainment.
No celebration would be complete without music and dance, and this was no exception. A tasting of Chinese culinary specialities and a robot show gave way to traditional dragon and lion dances outside the stadium. Inside, the rhythm continued with a DJ set that entertained fans at half-time, with Yuhong Meng, Consul General of China in Barcelona, in the Presidential Box by.
Special shirts
Out on the pitch, the team took to the field wearing shirts with their names printed in Chinese characters. The players were accompanied by children from the Penya Blaugrana Dracs Units. All of part of a festive day celebrating the Year of the Horse, a symbol of strength, vitality and perseverance.
