FC Barcelona present the third Barça x Cruyff collection called "La Flor de Cruyff", a new capsule that pays a deep and emotional tribute to the legend that is Johan Cruyff. This edition focuses on Cruyff's ideals and views regarding play, style and life.

After the first two collections – the iconic "Gallina de Piel" based on his legendary phrases, and the second focused around his style and aesthetics – "La Flor de Cruyff" brings something different to the table, doubling down on the fact that luck doesn't exist but style does. And it's this style, the Cruyff style, which continues to define the Barça DNA.

A visual and emotional expression

The collection is based on the popular expression “tenir una flor al cul” (akin to "living a charmed life" in English), which is often attributed to Johan Cruyff because of his apparent luck. However, he himself denied being lucky. This new campaign is based on this idea and has been expressed using an unprecedented audiovisual piece in the form of a video featuring the image and voice of Johan Cruyff recreated using artificial intelligence after the former player and coach's family granted permission for its use for the first time. The video sees Cruyff address four young talents from the first team (Cubarsí, Casadó, Héctor Fort and Pau Víctor) to ask them a key question, "Do you believe in luck?" According to Cruyff, the answer will always be in terms of the “how” – the style, passion, and way to understand football.

 

A design with memories

The collection comprises T-shirts, sweatshirts and jackets that feature visual elements that bring Cruyff's legacy to mind – the number 9, his silhouette recreating the famous “impossible goal” by the “flying Dutchman”, and photos that immortalise his most emblematic moments. The colour palette combines the Barça blue and maroon with black and the iconic Netherlands orange. Elements such as the retro numbers, graphics in movement, and minimalist embroidery make each garment a statement of timeless style.
