First league game at Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys

The Club encourages members and fans to attend the Barça v Cadiz on Sunday, and recommends following the mobility indications put into place for the Joan Gamper Trophy to make entering and leaving the stadium easier

This Sunday sees FC Barcelona hosting Cadiz (kick-off 7.30pm CEST) for the matchday two fixture of the league calendar. It will also be the blaugranas' first game as the home side at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys in the competition.

This is another opportunity for members and fans to visit their home until November 2024 to cheer on Xavi's side. The Club recommends following the list of mobility indications to enable easier entry and exit to and from Montjuïc and the stadium itself.

As was the case with the first game at the Estadi Olímpic for the Joan Gamper Trophy against Tottenham Hotspur, the mobility plan agreed by the Club and Barcelona City Council will be put into practice on Sunday for those travelling to Montjuïc on game day.

One of the recommendations is to get there early. The Estadi Olímpic gates will open one and a half hours before kick-off and access by car will be restricted. Roads will be closed around the stadium and only accredited four-wheeled vehicles will be able to access the area around the Anella Olímpica. The Guardia Urbana will remove vehicles parked in unauthorised areas. Up to 3500 motorbikes can access and park in areas close to the stadium.

When it comes to match-goers, going to the stadium on foot, using public transport or by bike is recommended, and to avoid travelling by car as much as possible.

Match-goers are also requested to download the ticket before the game and to enter via the corresponding access and gate. Lastly, please remember that there is no left luggage service.

Entertainment for the game

To add to the enjoyment on matchday, the Club has organised a series of fun activities that include an MC to help build the atmosphere both pre-match and during half-time, a DJ will play a live set from the terrace between the Gol Sur and Tribuna stands, and there will be a performance by a percussion group who will play the drums in the stadium's stands for the hour and a half period in the run up to the match. In addition, there will also be a stand at one of the Estadi Olímpic gates where fans can paint their faces in blaugrana.
