Joan Laporta: 'We will take action so that the situation at Camp Nou is not repeated'

The FC Barcelona president speaks after the game against Eintracht Frankfurt

FC Barcelona have been knocked out of the Europa League by Eintracht Frankfurt at the quarter final stage. After the second leg at Camp Nou, Barça president Joan Laporta spoke to Barça TV.

The President regretted the team's failure to win the second leg but admitted it had to be accepted. "In football these things can happen and even though we are sad and angry, we have to look to the future and try to fight for the league," commented Laporta before adding: "This goes on. We have to get over it and ask that on Monday the fans come to the stadium to support the team."

Those words came in the light of the situation experienced at Camp Nou on Thursday with numerous Eintracht Frankfurt fans in the stands: "It is a shame we have experienced this here today. It cannot happen again. We have a lot of information about what has happened and we need time to go over it. Then we will take measures, we will explain them and it will not happen again ever because it is an outrage."

"We cannot avoid certain situations but from now on we will have to be stricter and look at what has been allowed to avoid it in the future. We have experienced an undesirable situation. As a culer I feel ashamed and I am really sorry about what I have seen."
