30,000 spectators allowed into Camp Nou for Liga opener against Real Sociedad

Season ticket holding members can apply from Monday 9 at 4.00pm CEST and there shall be draw if there are more applications than seats

The first game of La Liga 2021/22 is at the Camp Nou against Real Sociedad on Sunday 15 August at 8.00pm CEST, but due to Covid-19 restrictions it won’t be played before a full stadium. The health authorities have set a limit of 30% occupancy, which equates to 29,803 spectators.

It is the first game in 17 months for which fans have been allowed into the Camp Nou, albeit in limited numbers. Coincidentally, the last game played before fans was also against Real Sociedad on 7 March 2020.

For Sunday’s game, 85% of the tickets that can go on sale will be offered to club members and the remaining 15% will be used for contractual and institutional club commitments. Season ticket holders wishing to attend the game will have to fill in a form that will be published on the club website from Monday 9 at 4.00pm CEST to Wednesday 11 at 9.00pm CEST (see link below, the form is in Catalan)

As many as six members may apply on the same form, provided they are all in the same zone and children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

Draw for tickets

If there is more demand than supply, there will be a draw in each zone to decide which members get tickets.

Between 24 and 48 hours before kick-off, the club will inform the members that have been allocated tickets via a message to which electronic tickets will be attached, with the seats located as close as possible to their usual ones. Members with parking passes will be able to park their vehicles on the Camp Nou premises.

Ticket transfer and compensation

Tickets will not be issued in the name of the bearer and may be transferred to other persons without the need to report this to the club. There is no need to register the names of persons to whom tickets are transferred, although if so required by the health authorities, the club may request details of the persons attending the game.

The club shall only compensate the proportional part of the ticket to season ticket holders who apply for a ticket and are not allocated one. The exact amount will be determined at the end of the season and will be discounted from the renewal of the season ticket for the following season.

Mobility and security restrictions

The stadium will be divided into eight blocks with their own entrances and services and members may only use the entrances stated on their tickets, preferably within the indicated time zone, and may not move between zones at any time.

Fans will not be allowed to change seats and if they leave the ground they will not be re-admitted. No food can be consumed inside the Camp Nou and facemasks (preferably FFP2) must be worn at all times. Social distancing must be observed at all times and all instructions with regard to Covid-19 prevention and mobility restrictions must be fully respected.
