FC Barcelona wins a 42nd European Cup

The Women's Champions League won by Lluís Cortés' side in Gothenburg increases the amount of European titles earned by all sections of the Catalan club

One more in the basket! FC Barcelona Women have won its first Champions League and added a 42nd European Cup for the club overall.

Unprecedented numbers that no other club on the continent can match. All of the Barça sports sections have contributed to increasing this statistic.

Of the 42 European Cups won by the club, 25 have come in the 21st century.

42 European Cups place FC Barcelona as the multi-discipline sports club with most European titles, amongst those who have won at least one European Cup in men's football.

If we look at the FC Barcelona sections with the most European Cups, roller hockey stands out, with 22 titles. They're followed by handball, with nine, futsal, basketball and the Women's football team.

From Aitor Egurrola to Vicky Losada

If we analyse the players with the most European titles in the history of the club, ice hockey goalkeeper, Aitor Egurrola, leads this classification with 11 titles. He is followed by several skaters such as Sergi Centell (10), Jordi Vila-Puig and Alberto Borregan (9) and Sergi Panadero, David Paéz and José Luis Negro Paéz (8).
