

The First vice president of FC Barcelona and the Barça Foundation, Jordi Cardoner, participated in an event at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper to celebrate the renewal of the global agreement with digital entertainment company KONAMI, which will run for the next four seasons. Cardoner presented an FC Barcelona jersey to Jonas Lygaard, Senior Director Brand & Business Development de Konami Digital Entertainment B.V.
The event at the Ciutat Esportiva was held after the announcement of the renewal on Tuesday, coinciding with the launch of the new edition of the eFootball PES 2020 game -which will have Leo Messi as the cover star. The Argentine will be on the box of the new standard version, succeeding teammates Luis Suárez and Philippe Coutinho, who did so in the previous two editions. Former Barça player Ronaldinho will be the star of the Legend edition, which includes an exclusive 3D scanned version of the Brazilian idol.
Through the new agreement, as a Global Partner to FC Barcelona, KONAMI will have an advertising presence both inside and outside the Camp Nou, access to players, visibility during match days, and exclusive rights to recreate the stadium in their PES 2020 game. Likewise, KONAMI will be "Official eSports Footballl Video Gaming Partner" to FC Barcelona, and this will allow future collaborations in the organisation of e-sports events in the future.
