The United States women's national soccer team star was on hand at the stadium on Sunday night and met Gerard Piqué, Paulinho, and Thomas Vermaelen

United States women's soccer team forward, Alex Morgan, was on hand at Camp Nou on Sunday night for FC Barcelona's 4–0 victory over Deportivo La Coruña. The 28-year-old California native, who was recently named the 2017 CONCACAF Female Player of the Year, posed with Barça President, Josep Maria Bartomeu before the match. After the game, she spoke with the Barça defenders Gerard Piqué and Thomas Vermaelen, and the midfielder Paulinho.

"It was amazing," she said of her first visit to Camp Nou. "It was great to see Barça continue to be undefeated in La Liga."

Morgan, who met some of the players during the 2015 summer tour in the United States, explained how she came to be a Barça fan.

"I started to follow Barça when I was in college," she said. "It was really when Pep Guardiola was the manager here. They just had a style of play that was very appealing, and it was very beautiful, so I just started watching, and I've been a fan ever since."

"Leo Messi is the best in the world. Unfortunately, tonight, I didn't get to see him score a goal in person, however he has scored many goals in his lifetime and, being a forward, I admire him and I love to watch him play. So, tonight was something special for me."
