31 players named for Gamper

Things are building up at the Spotify Camp Nou ahead of its first game of the 2022/23 season, and on Saturday Xavi Hernández announced which players are in line to feature in the 8.00pm CEST start. There are no fewer than 31 selectable players, namely: Ter Stegen, Iñaki Peña, Arnau Tenas, Dest, Kounde, R. Araujo, Christensen, Piqué, Eric, Umtiti, Jordi Alba, Balde, S. Roberto, Sergio, Pjanić, Pedri, Nico, F. De Jong, Kessie, Gavi, Collado, Pablo Torre, O. Dembélé, Raphinha, Lewandowski, Aubameyang, Ferran, Ansu Fati, Memphis, Braithwaite and Ez Abde. All of the players were on the Tito Vilanova field at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper for Saturday's morning training session, with the exception of Neto, who was given special dispensation not to take part.
