Midfielder
Learned to skate from the age of two in his hometown of CH Caldes de Montbui, and entered the Barça youth structure when he was 13, and reached the first team by 2011/12, when still a junior. Also started playing from Spain, winning European and world youth championships in 2007 and 2011.
In 2012/13, Barroso was loaned to Moritz Vendrell, and hsi fine displays earned him a ticket back to the Palau Blaugrana. Scored 20 goals in the OK Liga, helping his side to the Copa del Rei (including a golden goal) and the Copa CERS.
Left Barça in 2018 after winning 20 titles, including the European league in Porto, for a spell in Portugal, with two years at Oliveirense and three with Porto.
Returned to Barça in 2023 for a third spell at the club having just won the European title and an established Spain international.
Barroso is a brilliant reader of the game, and likes to build plays from the back. A great passer, with a strong. accurate long-range shooting ability and very good in enclosed spaces. Has an amazing knack for reading what his opponents are going to do.
A tactical master, he is a natural leader of attacking plays, and always seems to know how to correct troubled situations. A top man-marker and quick to adapt to any scenario.
