The final two signings of the transfer windown, Jasper Cillessen and Paco Alcácer, will wear the numbers 13 and 17 respectively
With the summer transfer window now closed and the sale of Bravo and the loans of Munir, Samper and Douglas confirmed, the first team shirt numbers for the coming season can now be confirmed also. Recent movements in the squad bring the latest changes. With Claudio Bravo having left for Manchester City, new goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen will take up the number 13. For his part, the final signing of the transfer window, Paco Alcácer, will wear the number 17 left free by Munir’s move on loan to Valencia.
Also confirmed is that Denis Suárez will inherit the number 6 worn last season by Dani Alves; Digne takes the number 19 left free by Sandro’s departure; Andrés Gomes will have the 21 shirt that was previously Adriano’s number and Samuel Umtiti takes over the number 23 given Thomas Vermaelen’s loan to AS Roma.
The players who continue in the first team squad from last season will maintain their squad numbers. With Douglas on loan at Sporting and Samper on loan at Granada, the numbers 2 and 16 remain free as does the number 15, previously worn by Marc Bartra before his move to Borussia Dortmund.
