In the early hours of Friday 23 September, former Barça player Joaquim Tejedor Tresserras passed away. Born in Barcelona on 9 March 1930, Tejedor played for Barça between 1950 and 1952 after beginning his career with Sant Andreu.
He was a part of the famous ‘Barça of the Five Cups’ team along with the likes of Kubala, Ramallets, Basora and César. He made his debut for Barça in a league game against Deportivo La Coruña on 25 March 1951, a game the blaugranes won 2-0. He played a total of five games for the Club, scoring two goals. At Barça he was part of a squad that won a league championship and two Spanish Cups amongst other titles.
