The Dutch keeper discusses the upcoming Copa del Rey final and how we wants to claim the cup playing with the club’s famed philosophy
FC Barcelona are looking to win their third straight Copa del Rey, and despite not featuring heavily in other competitions, Dutch keeper Jasper Cillessen has played a key part in the club’s journey to the final.
“I said I would like to face Alavés again because after a week and a half of joining Barcelona we lost against them and I wanted a second chance,” said the Dutchman.
He spoke highly of Pellegrino’s team: “We saw them in the first game, they are a great team. But they may be under more pressure as it is their first final, we are Barça and we have the advantage of playing many, we have the experience”.
Luis Enrique will be without Sergi Roberto and Luis Suárez due to suspension: “They are two very important players, but I think we have a good enough team to recover for it. We want to win it for them as well".
