The Club informs the Brazilian defender that it will trigger the clause in his contract to keep him at Barça for the next three seasons
FC Barcelona have taken up the option to keep Marlon Santos at FC Barcelona for the next three seasons.
The 21 year old defender is a key figure in Gerard López’s Barça B squad in his first season at the Club. Marlon Santos, born in Duque de Caxias, Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, has made 24 appearances in the B team this season, 22 in the starting line up.
His impressive displays led to him being called up to the first team by Luis Enrique, and was handed his debut in the Champions League against Celtic.
He also featured in La Liga, filling in for Gerard Piqué for the last two matches of the season and completing the full 90 minutes of each.
