Barça recorded an emphatic 8-0 victory in Denmark to make it three wins from three games in the Champions League. The blaugranes laid the foundations for victory in the first half with goals from Graham Hansen and Ewa Pajor, before extending their lead after the break through Brugts, Patri, Serrajordi, Kika Nazareth and a Pina brace. It was an outstanding team performance that consolidated their position as outright leaders of the standings and coincided with Pere Romeu's 100th victory as Barça coach.

Barça dominated the first half, dictating the tempo and creating a succession of chances against a Køge side whose attempts to threaten on the counterattack came to nothing. After a controlled opening spell, Graham put Pere Romeu's side ahead from the penalty spot (0-1, min 12). The goal only strengthened Barça's dominance, and they continued to create chances, with Graham herself striking the post.

The blaugranes remained firmly in control and were rewarded for their persistence with a second goal. Pina set up Pajor, who finished clinically to double the lead (0-2, min 33). From there, Barça comfortably saw out the remainder of the half without allowing the Danish side any clear chances, going into the break with the game firmly under control.

Second-half goal fest

Barça resumed the game in complete control and extended their lead with some excellent football and clinical finishing. Brugts headed home the third (min 54), before Patri added another with a backheel finish (min 60). Shortly afterwards, Serrajordi scored a spectacular goal from the edge of the area, and Kika Nazareth made it six, converting a superb cross from Pajor.

With victory already assured, the blaugranes showed no signs of easing off, and Pina completed her brace with goals in the 70th and 85th minutes, both assisted by Kika. Barça thus rounded off a comprehensive victory that strengthens their position as outright leaders of the Champions League league phase.

Institutional meeting before the match

Before the match, FC Barcelona vice-president and head of women's football Xavi Puig attended an institutional meeting in the directors' box at Køge Stadium with HB Køge president Alex Levin and other officials from the Danish club. Earlier, there had also been a meeting with representatives of the Peña Barcelonista de Copenhague.
