Raphinha scores again
The blaugranes went down to their first defeat of the season in La Liga on Sunday, losing 2-1 at home to Real Madrid. The loss brought to an end a run of nine straight wins in the league, however, Barça still find themselves top of the table and in the game at Spotify Camp Nou, Raphinha continued his goalscoring form when he made it 1-1 in the 61st minute.
13 goals in La Liga
The captain scored in his third game back after missing two matches following physical problems during the international break with Brazil. The forward now has 13 in the league and is still top scorer, two ahead of Real Madrid's Kylian Mbappé.
Raphinha is not yet back to 100%, as Hansi Flick admitted prior to the Clásico, but managed 86 intense minute on Sunday before being replaced late in the second half.
Eight goals in his last seven Clásicos
Since the arrival of Hansi Flick as coach, Raphinha has appeared in seven games against Real Madrid, and now has eight goals against Barça big rivals in those games. He has only failed to scored twice in the Clásico in that time, once in the Copa del Rey final in 2024 and in last season 2-0 victory in La Liga at home that sealed the league title.
The Barça captain will be disappointed not to have picked up points on Sunday but the season still has a long way to go and Raphinha will surely have a key role to play.
