Barça opened their Liga Endesa season with an impressive 119-101 victory over Leyma Coruña at the Palau Blaugrana, completing a perfect week following their winning EuroLeague debut in midweek, also at home, against Anadolu Efes. 119 points is the highest score in the league since 2017/18 when 121 were recorded against Betis. Of those points 21 were scored by Balcerowski who made 100% of his shots to gain an ovation from the Palau.

Despite strong resistance from the newly promoted visitors, Barça led 52-47 at halftime, thanks to the playmaking skills of Juan Núñez and the inside dominance of Olek Balcerowski, who scored 12 first-half points.

Tempo raised in second half 

The game remained close through the third quarter, with Barça holding an 85-79 advantage, before Aleksander Sekulic's side took full control in the final period. The hosts maintained a high tempo and offensive intensity, scoring 64 second-half points to pull away and secure a comfortable victory.

Balcerowski was the standout performer, finishing with 21 points, matching his ACB career-high and setting a new personal best performance rating of 30. Gibson, Tyrese Martin, and Justin Robinson also made important contributions as Barça showcased an exciting, fast-paced style of basketball.

The victory gives Barça two wins from their first two official home games of the season and offers further encouragement for Sekulic's new-look team.
