A run for the record books
It's been over a year now that FC Barcelona haven't tasted defeat as the home side in LaLiga, ever since the 6-0 against Valencia in matchday four of the competition on 14 September 2025. On that evening at Estadi Johan Cruyff, the blaugranes began a run that has continued for 375 days so far, comprising 22 home league wins and counting.
Third best run equalled
The most recent victory came on 16 September against Racing de Santander at Spotify Camp Nou (7-2). That win actually matched the third best run in Club history on this metric, which was achieved from matchday 15 in the 1947/48 season to matchday four in the 1949/50 season.
Next in the sights for the blaugranes, and only three more home wins away, is the second best run in LaLiga from matchday 22 of the 1951/52 season to matchday 12 in the 1953/54 season, amounting to 25 consecutive home victories. In other words, Flick's side will have to overcome the next three teams to visit Spotify Camp Nou: Getafe, Real Madrid and Alavés.
14 games from top spot
Still some way to go to claim first place, however, which was no fewer than 39 home wins in a row that ran from matchday 22 of the 1957/58 season to matchday eight of the 1960/61 season. The current side would have to keep winning all their league matches at Spotify Camp Nou through to April. This would actually be the 32nd matchday and curiously the derby between Barça and Espanyol.
Clearly this Barça side under Hansi Flick love winning games and we'll see how long this run lasts. It began at Estadi Johan Cruyff, continued on Montjuïc and extended further at Spotify Camp Nou, where the blaugranes returned on November 2025 to make it their impregnable fortress.
