Hansi Flick's Barça means goals, that was clear from day one. However, it is truer than ever in 2026/27 with the blaugranes having scored 36 goals in their eight official matches so far in the campaign.
Fourth best average in history
Since the German coach arrived for the 2024/25 season, Barça have scored 354 goals in 125 matches at an average of 2.83 goals per game, which makes him the fourth-highest-scoring coach in FC Barcelona history among managers who have overseen at least that number of matches.
Only Helenio Herrera (2.89 goals per game), Luis Enrique (2.87), and Ferdinand Daučík (2.86) boast better scoring averages. He currently ranks ahead of Pep Guardiola (2.43) and Ernesto Valverde (2.32).
Focusing on the start of the current season, the blaugranes have already found the net 36 times across all competitions. It is the club's highest goal tally in the opening eight matches of a season since 1935/36. Moreover, all eight matches have ended in victory, giving FC Barcelona the best start to a season in the club's history.
31 goals in seven league games
Of those goals, 31 have come in the first seven league matches. Never before have a Barça side scored so many goals in that number of league fixtures. In fact, it is the second-best tally in the history of the domestic competition, surpassed only by a Sevilla team in the 1940/41 season, who scored 40.
It is also worth noting that Hansi Flick's Barça have scored five or more goals in 22 matches. The most recent occasion came in week six of La Liga against Racing Santander, a game Barça won 7-2.
The club has also produced other remarkable streaks under the German coach, including 55 consecutive league matches with at least one goal scored and 53 consecutive matches scoring across all competitions. The latter is the best scoring streak in the club's history, achieved between December 2024 and November 2025.
