FC Barcelona and Real Sociedad have reached an agreement for the transfer of Héctor Fort. FC Barcelona retain a buy-back option and a percentage of any future sale.

Over a decade at Barça

Héctor Fort joined La Masia in the 2013/14 season from Penya Blaugrana Anguera and completed his entire development in the club's youth system. After progressing through the U19A team and also playing for Barça Atlètic, he made the step up to the first team during the 2023/24 season.

On 13 December 2023, he made his first-team debut, starting at right-back in the Champions League away to Antwerp. He began to feature regularly in the squad that season and also played at left-back, demonstrating his versatility. His La Liga debut followed in January 2024.

The 2024/25 season saw him establish himself as a member of Hansi Flick's first-team squad, making 19 competitive appearances. In total, he played 29 official games for Barça as part of the squad that won La Liga, the Copa del Rey and the Spanish Super Cup.

 

In September 2025, Fort joined Elche on loan until 30 June 2026. The full-back used his spell with the Alicante-based side to gain further experience and playing time, making 14 La Liga appearances, scoring two goals and providing two assists, as well as featuring in three Copa del Rey matches.
