Raphinha, Star Player of the 2026 Gamper
The 'Festa del Gamper Estrella Damm' saw a home victory, and the Star Player award go to Raphinha. The Brazilian showed in the 2-1 win over Al Ahly that he has returned in top form after ending last season short of full fitness, and he was voted the player in the match against Egyptians.
And he more than earned it, playing a decisive role in both goals of Barça's victory over the African side. For the blaugranes' first goal, scored by Hamza Abdelkarim, Raphinha delivered a perfectly weighted pass behind the defence to release Alejandro Balde, whose assist set up the opener. For the second, Raphinha won a penalty himself and then calmly converted it shortly before half-time.
The penalty was Raphinha's final contribution to the game as coach Hansi Flick decided to rest his captain at half time with official competition kicking off on Sunday in La Liga.
