Jesse Bisiwu makes his Barça debut
Jesse Bisiwu made his first appearance in a Barça shirt against Udinese in the triangular tournament in Italy. The Belgian winger came on in the second match in the 15th minute and operated on the left wing alongside Alejandro Balde.
At just 18 years of age and wearing the number 21 shirt, the promising attacker made several intelligent runs, was involved in build-up play, and delivered a dangerous cross into the box that Ebrima Tunkara nearly converted. He also came close to scoring himself with a shot that flew just wide.
First minutes for Fermín and Raphinha, decisive against Forest
In addition to Jesse Bisiwu’s debut in the second match, Fermín and Raphinha both enjoyed their first minutes of the 2026/27 preseason.
The Andalusian midfielder, now recovered from his foot injury, played in the first game of the evening against Nottingham Forest as a right-sided midfielder. Fermín won the penalty that ultimately secured the victory. He also linked up for the first time with Karim Adeyemi, combining effectively on several occasions down the right flank.
Raphinha also made his preseason debut and sealed Barça’s win against the English side by converting a penalty in the final minute. Starting on the left wing but moving freely across the pitch, one of Barça’s key players looked lively after overcoming the muscle injury he suffered while representing Brazil at the World Cup.
Balde, Toni, and Tommy Marquès make their 2026/27 debuts against Udinese
Alejandro Balde, Toni Fernández, and Tommy Marquès did not feature in the friendly against Birmingham City, but all three made their first appearances of the season in the second game of the evening against Udinese.
Alejandro Balde, beginning his sixth season with the first team, entered the pitch in the 15th minute against Udinese wearing the captain’s armband. Toni Fernández operated on the right wing and showcased his trademark dribbling and ball-carrying ability with his left foot.Finally, Tommy Marquès, deployed as a right-sided central defender, completed his first 15 minutes of the new season.
