Barça's basketball team and Joel Parra have reached an agreement to extend the Catalan forward's contract until 30 June 2030. The number 44 joined the club three seasons ago on a deal running until 2027, which was extended to 2028 last summer. Following the new agreement, his contract has once again been improved, meaning he will remain for a further four seasons and further establish himself as one of the cornerstones of the project thanks to his importance on the court and his leadership off it.

Over his three seasons in blaugrana, Parra has become a key player under every coach, bringing exceptional intensity and forging a unique connection with the Palau crowd. A highly versatile player, he is capable of operating in the low post, attacking from the perimeter and posing a threat from long range, while combining strong physical attributes with an outstanding ability to grab rebounds at both ends of the floor.

During the 2025/26 season, Parra averaged 8.5 points, 4.2 rebounds and an efficiency rating of 11.1 in the domestic league, setting new personal bests of 24 points and a performance index rating of 34 against MoraBanc Andorra. In the EuroLeague, he averaged 5.6 points, 3.4 rebounds and an efficiency rating of 6.8, improving on his figures from his first two seasons in Europe's premier club competition.

To date, Parra has made a total of 223 appearances for Barça: 112 in the Liga Endesa, 97 in the EuroLeague, six in the Copa del Rey, one in the Spanish Super Cup and seven in the Catalan League.
