Fermín's numbers better than ever
Barça midfielder Fermín López is having a great 2025/26 with almost everything he touches turning into goals. In the 2-0 win at the Coliseum on Saturday in La Liga over Getafe the blaugrana scored his 13th goal of the campaign to add to his total of 16 assists also this season.
Seven with his right and six with the left
Right foot or left foot, the Barça number 16 can score from any angle. In his 45 appearances, his 13 goals have come with seven with his right foot and six with his left. The strikes have come in all shapes and sizes also; shots from outside the box, clever finishes from inside, the Andalusian has it all in his armoury as he showed with his cool finish one on one with the keeper in the vital league win in Barça's most recent fixture.
Coach Hansi Flick is aware of Fermín's versatility and he has played in a variety of positions this season for Barça; just behind, the striker, midfield and even out on the left wing in a season in which he has recorded his best ever goalscoring statistics for FC Barcelona. Four of his goals have opened the scoring for the blaugranes and three have been the winner.
Only strikers Lamine Yamal, Ferran, Raphinha and Lewandowski have scored more for Barça this season and his 16 assists mean he has 29 goal participations this season, another best ever figure for the Barça number 16.
