Five more points to win LaLiga
The recent game against Getafe was a big step for Barça, with the 0-2 victory meaning the lead in LaLiga is now 11 points. Hansi Flick's side made the most of the 1-1 draw between Betis and Real Madrid to go further ahead at the top of the table.
It's a step that brings the LaLiga trophy much closer given there are only 15 points left to play for. Quick maths means that Barça can seal the title with five more points, regardless of Real Madrid's results and the outcome of the Clásico at the Spotify Camp Nou on 10 May.
Therefore, the domestic title could be won in the coming games and here are some permutations explaining when the title could be celebrated.
Gameweek 34
If Barça want to win LaLiga next weekend, they will first need to win away to Osasuna in Pamplona on 2 May (kick-off 9.00pm CEST) and then wait for the result of the Real Madrid match the following day in Cornellà against Espanyol. Should Arbeloa's side lose or draw, Barça will be champions.
Gameweek 35
A Barça win against Osasuna and a Real Madrid win against Espanyol (or if both matches are drawn), would mean the 11 point gap remains. Therefore, Flick's side could win LaLiga on 10 May by defeating or drawing with Real Madrid in the Clásico at the Spotify Camp Nou.
Should Barça draw against Osasuna and Real Madrid beat Espanyol, the blaugranes will be nine points ahead coming into the Clásico. In this case, only a victory would suffice, because as the all-whites won the match in Madrid, a draw would would mean Real Madrid have a better head-to-head record and there would still be three gameweeks to go and nine points to play for.
One final permutation is that if Barça lose against Osasuna and Real Madrid win against Espanyol, Flick's side will be eight points ahead coming into the Clásico, and as in the previous example, a victory would be needed to confirm the title win.
