The match will be broadcast live on Barça’s YouTube Premium channel and will be the team’s tenth of the season, following games played in Argentina (Buenos Aires), Mexico (Monterrey, Morelia, Guadalajara), Nigeria (Abuja), El Salvador (San Salvador), Costa Rica (San José), and the Dominican Republic (Santo Domingo).
For this match, Barça coach Albert Ferrer will have the following players available: Jesús Angoy, Vítor Baía, Sergi Barjuan, Fernando Navarro, Martín Montoya, Marc Valiente, Juan Pablo Sorín, Andreu Fontàs, Oriol Rosell, Phillip Cocu, Marc Crosas, Christian Tello, Rivaldo, Patrick Kluivert, Jonatan Soriano, Javier Saviola and Jeffren Suárez.
Scorer in the famous 5-0 under Guardiola
The debutant for this match will be Jeffren Suárez, who was a member of Barça’s first team in the 2009/10 and 2010/11 seasons. Suárez was one of the key figures in the famous 5–0 win over Real Madrid when Pep Guardiola was Barça coach, scoring the goal that sealed the final result. After leaving Barça, Jeffren went on to play for Sporting Lisbon, Valladolid, and Switzerland’s Grasshopper, among other clubs.
Plantilla mundial
Barça Legends will face a team managed by Ronaldo Nazário, featuring the following players: goalkeeper Sébastien Frey; defenders Michel Salgado, John Arne Riise, Fabio Cannavaro, John Terry, Ismed Sofyan, Maman Abdurrahman; midfielders Claude Makélélé, David Silva, Keisuke Honda, Franck Ribéry, Arthur Irawan, Firman Utina; and forwards Irfan Bachdim, Greg Nwokolo and Italy’s Alessandro Del Piero.
Indonesia, a blaugana nation
According to a recent study, the Asian country has 33 million Barça fans and ranks third in the world for followers of the club’s official Instagram account (6.1 million), first on Facebook (10.1 million), and also tops the global Barça ranking on TikTok (2.4 million).
This will be the third visit by an official Barça team to the Southeast Asian country, following previous trips by the futsal team and the U19 (Juvenil A) side. The team coached by Marc Carmona travelled to Indonesia in 2014 to play three friendly matches against local teams, while the U19s played a friendly in August 2023 in Bali against Bhayangkara Presisi, winning 2–1.
