FC Barcelona to launch Mini Program on WeChat

FC Barcelona has announced a dedicated Barça Mini Program to be launched on WeChat, a leading multi-purpose mobile application in China, in partnership with Tencent Sports and its implementation partner, GateHub. The Barça Mini Program brings together official Barça content and updates in one place. In addition, the platform is designed to progressively incorporate key services such as match tickets and Spotify Camp Nou tour tickets, which are expected to be rolled out in upcoming phases.
The launch of the Barça Mini Program will connect the majority of the Chinese community with FC Barcelona seamlessly, from offline-to-online interactions to digital payments, transcending geographical boundaries, while bringing the Club closer to its Culers in China.
Developed by the Chinese technology giant Tencent, there’re over 1.3 billion monthly active users on WeChat, which has become one of the largest digital ecosystems in China. This strategic collaboration is poised to strengthen the Club’s engagement with its 15.9 million of social media followers from China (including WeChat, Weibo, Douyin, Toutiao, Xiaohongshu and bilibili), out of the 59 million of followers across the Asia Pacific region.
