The FC Barcelona squad trained on Tuesday for the final time ahead of their Champions League last 16 second leg clash with Newcastle United at Spotify Camp Nou on Wednesday, kick off 6.45pm CET. 

The available first team players plus Tommy, Kochen, Espart and Cortés from the Barça Atlètic squad took part in the work out as Hansi Flick's men put the finishing touches to their preparations for the European tie which is evenly balanced after the 1-1 result last week in the first leg at St James' Park.

Joan Laporta visits the first team 

After the session newly re-elected FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta paid a visit to the players before the challenge of making it to the quarter finals of the Champions League on Wednesday. Laporta was accompanied by President Rafael Yuste, Director of the Football Area, 'Deco', Football Area Coordinator, Bojan Krkic and advisers Alejandro Echevarría and Enric Masip. Laporta took the opportunity to explain to the players and staff that he will not be taking up his role as president until 1 July before wishing the squad well for the game against Newcastle. 

Joan Laporta and the rest of the group also visited the women's football team and the futsal team.
