From Bilbao to Newcastle. Hansi Flick and the squad have left LaLiga behind temporarily to focus on the Champions League as they head to England. On March 10, the blaugranes have the last 16 first leg at St. James' Park and 23 players have made the trip, including Gavi, albeit he is yet to be passed fit by the medical team.

The Andalusian midfielder continues to work his way back after injury, but otherwise the travelling squad is the same as those who left the San Mamés stadium with the league victory. Therefore, the squad making the journey is as follows: Cancelo, Araujo, Cubarsí, Gavi, Ferran, Pedri, Lewandowski, Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, Joan Garcia, Rashford, Fermín, Casadó, Gerard Martin, Roony, Olmo, Bernal, Eric, Szczesny, Kochen, Cortés, Espart and Tommy. 

"He will travel with us, he will be training with us, but he isn't ready to play. Maybe after the next international break. We'll see", explained Hansi Flick on Gavi during the pre-match press conference for the Athletic game.
