After processing the claims submitted during the period in which the electoral roll for the 15 March elections was open for public inspection, as of today, 22 February, the Electoral Commission has definitively approved that 114,504 members meet the necessary requirements to be eligible to vote in these elections.
Pursuant to Article 47.2 of the Statutes, for the required five calendar days, between 15 and 19 February, the Office of the Members’ Ombudsman made the provisional electoral roll available to members so that the relevant checks could be carried out. Once this process was completed, the Ombudsman forwarded the observations received to the Electoral Committe so that it could approve the final and unalterable electoral roll.
A total of 16,911 enquiries were received, both online and in person, resulting in 50 data corrections. No requests were made for inclusion in or exclusion from the provisional electoral roll approved on 13 February.
In 2021, there were 13,521 enquiries.
Universal electoral roll
The club will set up five polling stations across the four Catalan provinces (Barcelona, Girona, Lleida and Tarragona) as well as another in the Principality of Andorra. The electoral roll will be universal, meaning that members will be able to vote in any of these districts, regardless of their place of residence.
