The FC Barcelona basketball team put in a tremendous fourth quarter performance to win 91-85 against UCAM Murcia in Valencia to reach the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey. The cup dream remains alive with a game against Baskonia to come on Sunday at 9pm CET in the last four of the competition.

Barça kicked off as they meant to go on with a three pointer from Clyburn. The first quarter saw first one side then the other take control of the game. The return of Punter from injury, along with those of Satoransky and Vesely, allowed Xavi Pascual's team the resources to take a 20-19 at the end of the opening period.

In the second quarter the lead extended out to 33-27 before a fightback from UCAM saw them comeback to 36-36 and then take a 44-42 lead into the break.

Murcia remained a tough nut to crack and Barça had to fight to keep themselves in the game. Coming into the final quarter the blaugranes trailed by two at 62-60. However, it all came together in the final period for Barça. Punter, Clyburn and Parra lead the side and with two minutes to go the blaugranes were 86-76 ahead. A nervous final few minutes saw Murcia come closer but Barça held on for a 91-85 win and a place in the semi-finals against Baskonia.
