The Club are set to expand the Barça Academy project with the new Barça Academy Mongolia, bringing the total to 11 in the APAC region and 30 worldwide. This new project will be based in the capital of the country, Ulaanbaatar, where the first Barça football campus took place in summer 2024. This new addition now means Barça have 30 football academies worldwide – 11 in Asia-Pacific, 10 in the Americas, and nine in Europe and the Middle East. 

The sports activities are scheduled to begin this March and one of the main difference to the other Barça academies around the world is that the Barça Academy Mongolia will have two sports facilities (like the Barça Academy Pro NY and Barça Academy Chicago), one for summer and one for winter, meaning the sport can continue all year round. In fact, Ulaanbaatar is considered the coldest capital city in the world.

The Barça Academy project

The Barça Academy is the proprietary football school model of FC Barcelona for boys and girls. The main aim is to provide holistic education to the students. This football school template, exported internationally, aims to spread the word about the Barça brand, while conveying the Club's values and philosophy of work to the rest of the world. 

The schools operate using a unique, proprietary model based on the Barça methodology from youth level to the first team, involving a creative and attacking playing style, the conveyance of the core values of respect, humility, effort, ambition and teamwork, and it has a track record of success.
