On 20 December, Barça Academy Nara in Japan held its traditional Christmas Party at a hotel in Nara, next to the iconic Nara Park. It was a very special event for the academy, as it once again brought together Academy and Junior Youth players, families and coaches in the same space on such a meaningful date as Christmas.

Beyond a shared dinner, the celebration included a range of activities designed for all ages. Among them, the Christmas bingo stood out, with all the players taking part and receiving an official FC Barcelona gift. In addition, team-based mini-games were organised, encouraging togetherness, fun and interaction among players from different age groups.

During the evening, the closing ceremony of the Junior Youth internal competition also took place, with trophies awarded to the top finishers in recognition of the effort, commitment and progress shown throughout the season.

Final surprise

To round off the night, a draw was held for two first-team shirts, which were presented to two lucky players, providing the perfect way to bring 2025 to a close.

Finally, Raúl Cosials, the academy’s technical director, addressed everyone present, wishing them happy holidays and encouraging them to start the new year with enthusiasm, motivation and a desire to keep improving, not only as players, but also as people. Events like this reinforce the values that define us and make us feel like one big family.
