First-team player Aitana Bonmatí has undergone successful surgery on a trans-syndesmotic fracture of her left fibula. The operation was carried out by Dr Antoni Dalmau, under the supervision of the FC Barcelona Medical Services, at Hospital de Barcelona. Her estimated recovery time is around five months.

The three-time Ballon d’Or winner had made 15 appearances this season, starting 13 of them. She had also scored six goals and provided three assists, once again establishing herself as a key figure in Barça’s midfield.
