Another international break is upon is and 10 Barça players have been called up to their national team squads. These are Robert Lewandowski (Poland), Marcus Rashford (England), Frenkie de Jong (Netherlands), Andreas Christensen (Denmark), Jules Kounde (France), Roony Bardghji (Sweden) and Pau Cubarsí, Dani Olmo, Pedri González and Ferran Torres (Spain).

The following youth players have also been called up to potentially represent Spain at the different youth levels – Dani Rodríguez (U-21s) and Dro Fernández, Toni Fernández, Lorenzo Oertli, Àlex Campos, Nil Teixidor and Pedro Rodríguez (U-18s).

Tuesday 14 October

Spain 4-0 Bulgaria
A comfortable win for Spain in Valladolid as they made it four wins out of four in WC Qualifying Group E. Pedri started and played 68 minutes of the triumph, while Cubarsí was an unused substitute.

Latvia 0-5 England
This big away win means England have qualified for the upcoming World Cup from Group K with two matchdays to spare. Marcus Rashford came on in the 71st minute to help his side to victory.

Spain U21 2-1 Finland U21
Dani Rodríguez came off the bench after 64 minutes and helped his side come back from a goal down to win late on. Spain are now outright leaders of U21 European Championship Qualifying Group 1 with nine points after three games. 

Monday 13 October 

Iceland 2-2 France 
Jules Kounde and France could have made sure of qualification in Reykjavik, but a 2-2 draw means they'll have to wait. The Barça defender featured throughout. France sit three points clear of Ukraine, who they face in their next fixture.

Sweden 0-1 Kosovo 
After making his debut for the senior side in Friday's defeat at home Switzerland, Roony Bardghji earned a second cap tonight, but it was another unhappy experience. The 1-0 loss in Gothenburg means Sweden now have just one point from their first four matches in Group B and no realisitic hope of even making the playoffs in a disappointing campaign. 

In other news, the Spanish Football Federation have announced that Ferran Torres will be not be part of the Spain squad for their game on Tuesday against Bulgaria. 

Sunday 12 October 

Netherlands 4-0 Finland
Frenkie de Jong played all 90 minutes of the win for the oraanje in Amsterdam, a victory that leaves them top of Group G in qualification for the 2026 World Cup and well placed to claim a place in next summer's finals. 

Lithuania 0-2 Poland 
Lewandowski scored the second in the win for Poland in Vilnius that keeps them in second place in Group G behind leaders the Netherlands. 

Denmark 3-1 Greece
Andreas Christensen
played all 90 minutes in the win for the Danes that keeps them in the running for a place in the final stages of next summer's 2026 World Cup. 

Saturday 11 October

Spain 2-0 Georgia
Pedri, Pau Cubarsí and Ferran Torres all figured in the win which takes Spain a step closer to qualification for the 2026 World Cup finals. 

Friday 10 October 

France 3-0 Azerbaijan
Barça defender Jules Kounde sat out the win in Paris for the French who retain their 100% record in qualification ahead of Monday's fixture against Iceland. 

Sweden 0-2 Switzerland 
Mixed evening for Roony Bardghji as the Barça winger made his debut for the senior side, coming on in the 85th minute, only for his team to go down to defeat at home in Solna to leave Sweden with just one point from three matches in World Cup qualifying. Monday's game against Kosovo will be make or break for the Scandinavians. 

News from the Spanish camp as it is announced that Dani Olmo will not be available against Georgia and Bulgaria.

Thursday 9 October

Malta 0-4 Netherlands
As expected, Frenkie de Jong's side had little difficulty collecting three points from this one, with the Barça midfielder featuring for 67 of the minutes. The result leaves the Netherlands top of the group, but Poland and Finland are both still in strong contention.

Belarus 0-6 Denmark
Andreas Christensen played all 90 minutes of a huge win for the Danes in neutral Zalaegerszeg, and the Barça man provided an assist for Victor Froholdt's 14th minute goal to open the six-goal spree. The group is looking increasingly like a head-to-head between battle between Denmark and Scotland, who beat Greece 3-1.

Poland 1-0 New Zealand
Robert Lewandowski was an unused substitute as his team defeated their Oceania visitors in a friendly.

England 3-0 Wales
With his team already leading in this friendly at Wembley, Marcus Rashford joined the action at half-time, although there was no further scoring.
