Hansi Flick's Barça team on Sunday equalled a record that many thought impossible. After beating Real Sociedad 2-1 in the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, the blaugranes have now scored in 44 consecutive matches.
The record of 44 games has stood since the 1940s when between 22 November 1942 and 6 February 1944, a Barça side with Juan José Nogués at the helm also scored in 44 consecutive matches. Not Johan Cruyff's 'Dream Team' nor a Barça side with the great Leo Messi were capable of matching that run.

Nine months scoring
The current run began on 21 December 2024 with a 2-1 home defeat against Atlético Madrid, having failed to score in the previous game, a 1-0 defeat against Leganés. Since then 44 matches and nine months have passed without Barça failing to score.
Barça in the 1940s, no Europe
The run equals a record that has stood for more than 40 years when Juan José Nogués' team scored in 44 consecutive league and Copa del Rey games. The run of Hansi Flick's team also included games in the Champions League and the Spanish Super Cup.
