Ferran Torres is one of the most talked-about players in FC Barcelona's season so far. He scored twice in the first half against Getafe, and if it hadn't been for the crossbar, he'd have claimed a hat-trick. That's four goals he has scored in six competitive outings this season.
That takes his overall total for the club to 48, already the same number contributed by David Villa, another signing from Valencia who impressed at Barça. 'El Guaje' was at the club for three campaigns (2010-13), and is best remembered for his goal at Wembley in the 2011 Champions League Final.
Ferran Torres has already left in his wake some of the greatest strikers ever to wear blaugrana, including Ronaldo (47 goals), Alexis Sánchez (47), Hans Krankl (45), Luis Figo (45) and Johan Neeskens (44). Thierry Henri, with 49 goals, is already within his sights.
Third in the squad
Torres is the third highest all-time scorer of all players still in the squad. He is only topped by Robert Lewandowski (103 goals) and Raphinha (57).
