The Super Cup is blaugrana once again. Barça have lifted the trophy for a positive start to the 2025/26 season after overcoming Deportivo Liceo 5-2 in the semi-final and Igualada Rigat HC (1-3) in the final.

The 15th Super Cup win now means the roller hockey team have won 140 trophies in their history. A great start to the season for the blaugranes who win the trophy for a fourth consecutive time. This is the second time the trophy was played in Igualada, and this time the blaugranes were victorious after a loss in the final to Reus Deportiu in 2019.

First trophy under coach Ricard Ares

The 2025 Super Cup is the first trophy under new blaugrana coach Ricard Ares and the coaching staff.

The trophy was lifted by captain Sergi Fernández, his 12th in total (11 with Barça and 1 with Vic), placing him between other roller hockey legends in Aitor Egurrola (11) and Sergi Panadero (13).

Other notable Super Cup winners include Pablo Álvarez with 9, followed by Xavi Barroso (8), Ignacio Alabart (6), Sergi Llorca (5) and brothers Carles and Marc Grau, also with 5 (4 with Barça and 1 with Liceo). It's the third for young Eloi Cervera and the second for Sergi Aragonès and Ferran Font.

The champions now have a deserved rest after the triumph, but will be back in from Tuesday to prepare for the OK Liga debut on 26 September at Les Comes against Igualada Rigat HC (9.00pm).
