No let-up for Barça. The squad were back at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper on Friday morning at 11am for another training session under Hansi Flick. This was the second-to-last workout before Sunday’s La LIga clash with Valencia (kick-off 9pm CEST) at the Estadi Johan Cruyff.
Raphina and Araujo back with the squad
The headline from today’s session was the full return of Raphinha and Ronald Araújo. The Brazilian and the Uruguayan were the last to report back from international duty, having played in the early hours of Wednesday morning (European time). After recovery work on Thursday, both trained normally with the group today.
De Jong in isolation
Frenkie de Jong, meanwhile, continued to work separately as he builds up fitness following a minor problem with the external obturator muscle in his right leg. Alejandro Balde and Gavi were also at the training ground, though only for treatment on their respective injuries.
The available players pressed on with preparations on the Tito Vilanova pitch ahead of Sunday’s fixture. The final training session will be on Saturday morning, the last run-out before the first home game of the 2025/26 campaign.
