Tuesday is one of the those days in the calendar marked in red - the second leg of the Champions League semi-final against Inter Milan in Italy. For Barça midfielder Dani Olmo it will be the second semi-final of his career after appearing in the 2020 one off tie for RB Leipzig against Paris Saint-Germain. The blaugrana appeared before the press on Monday in Milan ahead of the second leg: "It's six years since Barça were in the semi-finals and 10 since we made it to the final. We are excited and ready."
Everything hinges on Barça beating Internazionale in their own back yard with Simone Inzaghi's team unbeaten in their last 15 home games in the Champions League. "It's clear that home advantage is important, but we have played in places like the Metropolitano, the Bernabéu and Signal Iduna Park and won or gone through. It's not something that worries us, it's a motivation," added Olmo.
"We know our game"
With regards to the first leg at the Estadi Olímpic, Dani Olmo admitted that there is room for improvement. "It was a very tight game. We had chances to score and we could have defended better. These things can happen," he explained. Nevertheless, the Barça number 20 was optimistic about his team's chances: "We know our game and it's going well for us so we don't have to change anything."
On his first season at FC Barcelona, Olmo added: "I came with an objective, to win things and up to now we have won two trophies out of two. I have had a few difficult moments, but now I am at 100% and it has definitely been worth it."
