First badge presentation to members 2025

President Joan Laporta joined by vice-president Antonio Escudero and director Josep Ignasi Macià

President Joan Laporta, accompanied by the vice-president of the Social Area, Antonio Escudero, and the director responsible for the same area, Josep Ignasi Macià, presided today over the first badge presentation ceremony to members for the year 2025. About fifty Barça supporters, who joined the club in the early 1970s and are thus celebrating fifty years of loyalty to the club, were recognized with the FC Barcelona gold badge.

The event began, however, with the presentation of the gold and diamond badge to member Ignacio Barceló Gómez (pictured) for his 75 years of dedication to Barça. Additionally, the honored members, along with their companions, had the opportunity to take photos with the Spanish Super Cup trophy won by the men’s first football team in Saudi Arabia on January 12.

More united than ever

Before personally greeting each recipient and presenting them with their gold badge, Laporta delivered a brief but emotional speech. The president highlighted the strong commitment to FC Barcelona and to Catalonia of the honorees, who became members during the early days of democracy. “You have grown alongside Barça, and thanks to you, Barça has become strong, solid, and resilient in the face of adversity" he said. "We ask you now to stay more united than ever. You are an example for new generations of Barça supporters who will continue to grow with us and with Spotify Camp Nou, which will be the best stadium in the world.”

The presentation of these badges is a simple but highly symbolic gesture. It is the club's way of acknowledging and thanking the members who joined Barça during a very significant period in its history.
