Breogán 63-79 Barça: Solvent win in Lugo

15-0 streak in the final period settles a far from easy ride

Barça won by 16 points in Breogán in a game where they never looked in major difficulty but that was nevertheless not settled until they scored 15 points to no reply in a powerful streak in the final period.

The strong 7-15 lead after just five minutes suggested early doors who was bossing this one, with the absences of Laprovittola and Jokubaitis barely noticed. But the home side managed to work their way back into contention, and the second period was almost a repeat of the first. Barça built up a convincing lead, but once again the Galicians clawed their way back and the difference at the break was jiust +8 (31-39).

Jabari Parker banged in five in a row and Kalinic also got in on the act as Barça continued to look just a little bit more solid than their hosts

Lugo tried and tried to reduce the deficit, but Barça refused to allow it to happen... although the first few minutes of the final period were a warning that this game was anything but done and dusted. And it was then that some simply gorgeous play from Brizuela, Vesely, Abrines and Satoransky was especially the reason for the best blaugrana hoops of the night, and an uncontested 15 points ensured that this game was going nowhere other than the way Roger Grimau wanted.

The next league fixture is back at the Palau Blaugrana on Sunday at home to Lenovo Tenerife.
