Balde extends FC Barcelona contract until 2028
FC Barcelona and the player Alejandro Balde have reached an agreement for a new contract which will take the player through to 30 June 2028. The buy out clause is set at 1bn euros.
The signing of the new contact for the youth team product will take place on Thursday 21 September at 1.15pm CEST at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper will the following agenda:
- Signature by player.
- Words from president Joan Laporta and from the player Alejandro Balde.
Alejandro Balde, a fixture at left back
With his contract extension signed, Alejandro Balde consolidates his position at left back in the first team. After arriving at Barça in 2010 as an six year old, Balde quickly raced through the age categories in the FC Barcelona youth teams.
In the 2020/21 season he began to make his first appearances in the first team, making his debut in a friendly against Nàstic de Tarragona in preseason.
In September 2021 he made his Champions League debut in a game against Bayern Munich, coming on for Jordi Alba. The 21/22 campaign saw glimpses of his talent and in 2022/23 he established himself as a first team player and as first choice at left back. Up to now he has made 55 appearances for the Barça first team, 42 as a starter, scoring once and creating six assists.
