Robert Moreno returns to Camp Nou

The Granada coach was assistant to Luis Enrique at FC Barcelona between 2014 and 2017

Barça welcome Granada to Camp Nou on Monday in La Liga with the visitors bringing a familiar face to town in the form of their coach - Robert Moreno. The man who took over at the Andalusian club in the summer is well known to Barça fans as he served as assistant to Luis Enrique at FC Barcelona between 2014 and 2017.

Born close to Barcelona in neighbouring Hospitalet de Llobregat, Moreno was an important part of one of the most successful periods in FC Barcelona history. As assistant coach he helped the blaugranes win two La Liga titles, a Champions League, three Copas del Rey, a Spanish Super Cup, a European Super Cup and a FIFA World Club Cup. The highlight of his time at Barça was no doubt the treble winning season of 2014/15 when the blaugranes won the league, the Champions League and the Copa del Rey.

After leaving Barça, Robert Moreno enjoyed a spell as both Spanish national team coach and assistant to Luis Enrique. On his return to club football he had a spell at French club AS Monaco before taking over at Granada in the summer after a year out of the game. As coach of the Andalusian club, Moreno is still searching for his first win with Granada recording two draws and two defeats in their four matches so far this season in La Liga.
