FC Barcelona have reached an agreement with the player Sandra Paños for the extension of her contract until 30 June 2024. When the sporting calendar allows there will be an official signature ceremony for the new contract which will tie the player to the Club.
28 year old Paños came to Barça in 2015 from Levante and in her six seasons with the Club she has become one of the top goalkeepers in world football thanks to her leadership abilities, consistency and agility. She is on course to claim her fifth Zamora Trophy as a blaugrana and she has been chosen in the Champions League ideal XI on numerous occasions as well as being first choice for the Spanish national team.
One of the captains of the first team, Paños has played 188 games for Barça in which she has conceded 89 goals. She has won one league title, three Copas de la Reina, one Spanish Super Cup and five Copas Catalunya. On 16 May she will be playing in her second Champions League final.
